10th Grade American History I
Mr. Christian GosseauxThis is a tenth grade American History survey course that covers a wide range of topics. This course deals with the time period from the early 1500's up to and including the civil war. The class will challendge students by encouraging them to utilize a variety of skills within a social studies classroom.
The students will learn to use social studies skills such as being able to read and formulate their own maps, timelines, charts, and graphs based on historical themes and information. Emphasis will also be placed on reading and writing skills of students by allowing them to read historical and current event material and creating their opinions in written essays and classroom discussion. The class offers a variety of exciting lessons and learning strategies that all students will enjoy.
