Junior Course Outline:
The physical education program for the junior year places major emphasis on a combination of skills acquired in freshman and sophomore years. The juniors do aerobics, which leads to a couples' dance choreographed by themselves to music from the 70s and 80s.

The health portion of the junior class deals with stress. Students learn what stress is and how to deal with it. The course work moves on to discuss what alcohol and drugs do to the human body.

Course Goal and Objectives:
The goal of the Preparatory Charter School, Health and Physical Education curriculum is to help students engage in patterns of behavior that will assist in achieving and maintaining good health. Students will accomplish this by having a balance of physical, mental, social, and emotional well being. This course is designed to offer students the opportunity to acquire knowledge, develop life skills and positive attitudes about life. Development of a healthy body and mind will assist young people in living active, productive and successful lives.

All Sections and Grades:
All students are required to wear navy blue sweat pants or shorts and a navy blue Prep Charter gym shirt. Every student who takes physical education will go through strength and conditioning testing. The strength and conditioning tests consist of running a mile in 15 minutes, completing a certain number of push-ups and sit-ups in a certain length of time, and completing a specific number of pull-ups.
