Mr. Larry ArataThe goal of the U.S. Government course is to produce students who are competently able to participate in a democracy. They will be able to discern propaganda from expertise and be able to fully express opinions on historical arguments. Significant time will be spent covering topics such as separation of powers, rule of law, and deciphering the meaning and significance of the U.S. Constitution. Students will understand the context of important supreme court decisions such as Marbury v. Madison and Dred Scot v. Sandford.
