12th Grade Math (CCP)
Seniors earn enrollment in math classes at CCP based upon their college
placement test scores. They take the CCP placement test in the spring of
their junior year. Most students place into Math 118, which is an
intermediate level college algebra course. A few of our seniors test into
Math 161, introduction to pre-calculus. Students take the math class during
the fall semester of their senior year; some students, who do very well in
their first semester math classes at the community college, are scheduled
into a second course for the spring semester. Generally Prep Charter
students find a few of their classmates in their math classes; however, our
students are blended throughout over a dozen sections of afternoon math
classes, and experience the true collegiate experience of studying and
learning with students from a variety of backgrounds.
